We are a Community Benefit Society (31409R) which is a charitable organisation. In order to fulfill our educational aims, we bring people together to learn about sustainable food and sustainable living in a number of ways. We offer one-off events, workshops, courses, school visits, we host volunteers twice a week from the local community and we accommodate guests from elsewhere in the UK and worldwide. Bosavern Community Farm is proud to be part of WWOOF – the World-Wide Opportunities on ‘Organic Farms’. WWOOF is a worldwide movement linking people wishing to learn and gain skills, with farmers and growers who use organic methods, to promote cultural and educational experiences based on trust and non-monetary exchange thereby helping to build a sustainable, global community.

Our simple farmhouse facilities can accommodate up to 10 WWOOF guests living communally at any given time. WWOOF guests must be over 18 and have the appropriate VISA. We are not able to provide sponsorship to help you obtain a VISA.

WWOOF guests are offered a range of experiential learning activities, immersed in teams alongside our community volunteers and staff. Educational farm activities include helping with the chicken care and  seasonally varied horticulture such as sowing, potting on, planting out, watering, temperature control, pest and disease control, structural support, weeding, mulching, harvesting and processing, all using agroecological techniques. Read more about our ethos here.

Our WWOOF guests find the education, teamwork and the community aspect of our farm highly rewarding. Our inclusive, multi-national, intergenerational meal times allow for nourishment, connection and cultural exchange, this helps to build community cohesion, well-being and shared learning, particularly on our busiest volunteer days (Tuesdays and Thursdays).

If you are interesting in staying with us, please check out our reviews and apply for a visit through the WWOOFUK website here.
