The Growing and Empowerment Project at Bosavern is funded by the European Union with support from Cornwall Council
Since January 2021 we have had EU & Cornwall Council funding to offer supported placements for local, unemployed and economically inactive adults to come and learn a range of practical food-related skills here on the farm; from plant-to-plate! This project has helped c.35 people to develop the ‘work-ready’ qualities employers are looking for and we have assisted with numerous applications for work, college and volunteering placements.

“Everything here was new to me. I’m getting more confident about facing challenges. I’m learning a lot. I’m proud of myself.”

“I’m learning that it’s not the be-all and end-all if something goes wrong; it’s more about how you’re going to fix it.”
