Practical gardening

Supported courses with the WEA

Meet like-minded people, get your hands in the soil at Bosavern Community Farm and participate in some gentle healthy activities in a very supportive, informative, Tutor-led group. It’s a fun, stress-free way of spending more time outdoors. No previous experience needed.

‘I feel less anxious when I’m at the farm’
‘I love being outdoors in nature’

These short, one and two day courses, in partnership with the WEA, held on selected Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the Spring and Summer of 2024 are intended for anyone over 19 wanting to get their hands in the soil, to focus the mind, learn some new growing skills and to meet like-minded people, with support and tuition from an experienced WEA Tutor. Being out in nature, with a supportive team of people is a great way to improve health and well-being. You can enrol on one-off courses, or you can sign up to all our WEA courses for a regular commitment. The tutor has a permaculture and youth work background and will be working closely with our own Head Grower Hugh Taylor.
