Summer Events and Workshops

Stargazing with Carolyn Kennet

*SATURDAY 5th September,  7.30pm*

We will gather in the farmyard at Bosavern Community Farm at 7.30pm and make our way to the fields as dusk falls and watch the sky change as the sun sets.

As darkness falls, we’ll look out for the first stars and planets, before exploring the night sky together. The moon will be Last Quarter, and won’t rise until later to give us a lovely window of darker skies for star gazing.

Bring warm layers, sturdy footwear, something to sit on and a torch if you have one.

Carolyn Kennett is an archaeoastronomer with a passion for exploring the connections between ancient peoples, the landscape and the skies. She brings prehistoric monuments to life through the stories of the Sun, Moon and stars, exploring the possible ways ancient communities may have understood and used their landscapes.

Cost £10 per person, or £15 for two.

Appropriate for all ages. Reserve date 5th September.
Our site is open to all, those with mobility issues please be aware that there is uneven ground.
