Tuesday 15th October 1pm-4pm
(booking essential)
This event is one of a series of visits arranged exclusively for and hosted by community growing projects, organised by Newquay Community Orchard, designed to share knowledge between new and established Community Growing Organisations from across Cornwall. You might be a commercial market gardener, a CIC, a CBS or a charity which both grows sustainably and with involvement from members of the community.
Come and see the Bosavern set up near St Just in West Cornwall and exchange knowledge and experience with fellow Growers.
Growers, Directors, Trustees, lead volunteers and owners of new and existing community growing schemes are all very welcome. The topic for this event is diversification. Bosavern Community Farm work with their community in a number of ways; by growing and selling produce (veg, salads, fruit, eggs, honey, hay) at their farm shop, markets and veg box scheme, by providing allotments, and by bringing people together for shared learning on the topics of sustainable agriculture, conservation and healthy, sustainable living.
The event will start with a shared lunch at 1pm, a guided tour with Head Grower Hugh Taylor at 2pm and a chance for networking, sharing best practice and a Q&A at 3pm.
Please wear sturdy boots and weather appropriate clothing. Please book via Eventbrite on the link below.
