Get your team out of the office and into the fresh air for a different kind of team-building day, and help your Community Farm at the same time! We can organise a hands-on, practical and active team-building day for your organisation. And we can provide refreshments and lunch, much of it made from our own farm produce. Please get in touch to discuss what your group would like to do!

Tasks are varied according to the season and what needs doing on the farm, but in the past have included:

  • Building a fruit cage
  • Painting chicken sheds
  • Preparing ground for planting
  • Harvesting potatoes
  • Making compost
  • Weeding
  • Sowing seeds
  • Tree planting

Tasks are on a rotation and each task is led by one of our knowledgeable growers or volunteers. It’s hard work but previous attendees have enjoyed being out in the fresh air and getting to know their colleagues in a completely different environment, as well as making a great contribution to our farm. And we can reward you with a delicious lunch!

  • Our first permanent raised bed outside
In January we split the market garden into two equal halves, each of about one acre, with one half to be worked by tractor and one by hand (this latter to include the polytunnels, fruit cage, perennial beds, and permanent raised beds).
