Located on the A3071 in West Cornwall near St Just-in-Penwith and overlooking the sea, Bosavern Community Farm is run by Bosavern Community Enterprises Ltd, a not-for-profit social enterprise. We grow fresh vegetables using organic principles according to the Wholesome Food Association guidelines and we also have several beehives producing Cornish Black Bee honey and we also raise free-range chickens (for the sale of eggs).

We deliver fresh vegetables, herbs, salad leaves, eggs and honey to the local community through our weekly veg box scheme, our Farm Shop, farmers’ markets and to nearby pubs, cafés and restaurants.

Bosavern Community Farm comprises 36 acres of land with 7 acres under cultivation (with a new field about to be cultivated by local allotment holders) and some for hay.

We have 6 polytunnels, a fruit cage, raised beds and several outbuildings including our education space, The Seed Box and a community-built cob roundhouse.

Our Vision is to develop a self-financing, community-led, food growing initiative to benefit the wider community of St Just, Pendeen and West Penwith in an economically, environmentally and socially sustainable way. The objectives of the Farm are:

  • To produce and sell high-quality, fresh, affordable food to local people
  • To provide community access to land and its produce
  • To provide workshops and events for the local community
  • To provide opportunities for local people of all ages to come together to learn more about growing food, agriculture and sustainable living
  • To offer a space for training, social time and celebration of the seasons and produce
