Bosavern Community Farm was previously owned by Cornwall Council. was purchased from them and secured for the community on March 31st 2014 financed by a substantial grant from Local Food Lottery, a share option and an incredibly generous loan from a local benefactor. Bosavern is now under the stewardship of BCEnts, a locally run, not-for-profit community organisation.

The farm was originally (going back to 1918) used as a training farm to encourage new farmers into agriculture. When Cornwall Council decided, in 2009, to sell the farm and buildings, some visionary individuals from the local community rallied others and eventually secured the money to buy the farm for the community through Bosavern Community Enterprises Ltd (BCEnts). The farm is now run by a Board of Management which is elected by the members at the AGM.
