Due to continued demand we are running our 3rd ‘Introduction to Bee-Keeping’ course with Matt Pitt of The Cornish Black Bee Company and the bees of Bosavern Community Farm, St Just on Saturday 15th August 2015.
The day consists of a morning of theory, a short break for a shared lunch, and then an afternoon of practical hands-on experience in our apiary.
Matt is a great teacher and leads a very approachable, enjoyable class, suitable for all ages. This course is suitable for you if you are thinking of getting bees or if you are in your first season of bee-keeping and would like to understand more about your hives.
Class size is a maximum of 6 people, to ensure everyone gets the best experience. This means places are limited!
The course is weather dependent so we ask that you are available to come on the Sunday 16th August if the weather is poor on the Saturday.
We are aiming to keep the costs as low as possible to ensure that everyone that wishes to has the opportunity to learn about keeping bees, hence the bargain price of just £30.00- this price includes Personal Protective Equipment, all course materials, insurance, teas and coffees, and a £5 donation to Bosavern Community Farm.

Small (£6) veg boxes this week had potatoes (Maris Peer), chard, rocoto chillies, fresh basil, baby carrots and a bag of mixed salad leaves.
Standard (£10) boxes had all of the above, plus courgettes, broad beans and rhubarb.
